Hot and humid conditions are expected to persist in coastal Gujarat, with a rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next four days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The mercury is likely to peak till March 25 before dropping by a similar margin thereafter.
IMD has warned of discomfort due to increased humidity in the coastal areas of South Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch from March 22 to 25. Minimum temperatures, however, are expected to remain steady for the next three days before falling by 2-3°C. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against heat stress.
The IMD, in its daily weather forecast, states:
Rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C during the next 4 days, thereafter, a fall by 2-3°C is very likely over the region.
No large change in minimum temperatures during the next 3 days, thereafter, a fall by 2-3°C is very likely over the region.
Discomfort conditions due to hot and humid air are very likely to prevail over the coastal areas of the South Gujarat region and Saurashtra-Kutch from 22-03-2025 to 25-03-2025 (Day 1, 2, 3, and 4).
