A 21-year-old man was arrested after a video of him cutting a birthday cake with a sword in public went viral on social media.
The accused, Krish Rajesh Mulani, a resident of Warasiya, was booked on Thursday for violating laws related to the display and use of weapons in public.
According to the police, Mulani admitted to possessing the sword at his home, which was later seized. He was arrested under Section 135 of the Gujarat Police Act and later released on bail.
The viral video also allegedly shows a man walking through the streets of Warasiya carrying a sword.
This incident follows a 100-hour police crackdown on “anti-social elements” across Gujarat, ordered by Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, which concluded on Wednesday.
