The Veeranjali Committee, known for organising Veeranjali activities across Gujarat for the past 17 years, is set to celebrate Martyrs’ Day in Sanand on March 23 with Veeranjali 2.0. This event honours the sacrifices of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru.
In 2022, the event evolved into a musical extravaganza featuring over 100 artistes, presenting various perspectives on the freedom struggle. This unique celebration attracted more than seven lakh attendees. In 2024, approximately 30,000 people participated in the Arti on Martyr for the first time.
This year, over 100 actors will narrate the stories of revolutionary heroes in Veeranjali 2.0. The event will highlight figures such as Veer Savarkar, Veer Vinod Kinari Valaji, Captain Neera Arya (the first female spy of the Indian Army) and Krantiveer Kuvarsingh. Special guests will include Bhagat Singh’s nephew Karanji Singh, Sukhdev’s nephew Anuj Thapar, Rajguru’s relative Satyashi Rajguru and Veer Vinod Deknariva’s family.
