Things to do in Ahmedabad this weekend

Depicting journey of life on canvas
Adhyaksh Shri Bhuvaneshwari Pith & Aushadhashram Gondal Dr Ravidarshanji Vyas has put up an exhibition of his art works in the city. His works showcase painted biography through mythological tales and royal stories. Ever since he was a child, he was inclined towards art and paintings. His self-taught journey of art was then created into an art gallery of grand paintings featuring the Indian mythological stories and royal tales through large scale oil canvasses. Following his first exhibition in 2019 at the Kirti Mandir Palace of Vadodara, which was hosted by HH Rajmata Saheb Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad and the Vadodara Royal family, Dr Vyas has never looked back.

With several abstract and tangible creations to his credit, Ameria brings something fresh and unique on the table. The works might look complex at first, but diving deep you will notice his play with typography that stands out as an ‘element’.

Finding cities and culture in built forms
A photo architect – extract from dancing with my camera’ is a must visit photography exhibition for all the photography enthusiasts – young and old. This exhibition showcases the works of Dayanita Singh, an artist redefining what photography can be today. For Singh, the labour of photography lies not in
the making of images but in conceptualising the forms within which they can grow. She challenges us to
envision new, more mobile, accessible and fluid forms of books, exhibitions and museums. Her works traverse genres, forms and space—from mobile museums to book-objects, to books that become exhibitions themselves.
