In a bid to allow students to pursue two courses simultaneously, Gujarat University (GU) executive council on Thursday approved dual degree programmes. Students pursuing bachelor degree in arts, commerce, science, business administration and computer application will be able to study for a second degree in 20 courses identified and shortlisted by the varsity’s EC, said GU officials.
The list of courses to pursue dual degree will include cyber security, aviation, food sciences, artificial intelligence, environment and sustainability, hospital management and heritage management, port-SEZ, maritime management, new age media, Indian knowledge system, translation and editing studies, artology, heritage and geography regulatory affairs and documentation among others. Other courses include Indian knowledge science and yoga science and bachelor of design.
GU Registrar Piyush Patel said that the students will be able to complete two degree courses in the period of the bachelor degree.
