The city civic body, in its recent budget for the year 2025-26, has allocated ₹10 crore for the construction of foot over bridges on several busy roads in the city.
The budget statement states that Ahmedabad city holds an important position as a megacity and a center of commercial activity. Along with the increasing development in the city, it is also necessary to address urban challenges. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to allocate ₹10.00 crore in the budget for the construction of foot over bridges on busy and important roads of the city, such as Airport Road, Vastrapur Lake, Prahladnagar Road, 132 Feet Ring Road, Ashram Road, C.G. Road, and other roads as required, prioritizing pedestrian convenience and safety.
