A girl studying in class 3 at Zebar School for Children, located in the Thaltej area of the city, lost her life today after complaining of chest pain.
An 8-9-year-old girl named Gargi Ranpara arrived at school around 7:30 AM in an auto-rickshaw, and while climbing the stairs of the school, she complained of chest pain and collapsed on the staircase. The staff of the school performed CPR on the girl, but when she did not wake up, she was rushed to a nearby private hospital. The doctors at the hospital declared her dead, and preliminary reports suggest that she died due to cardiac arrest.
The school’s administration told the media that they collect the medical history of all the students, and the deceased girl did not have any history of cardiac issues. They described the cardiac arrest as sad and sudden. The police also reached the school, reviewed the CCTV footage, and are carrying out further investigations.
