AMC invited suggestions for budget proposals for 2025-26; most responses were for better roads
A majority of the Amdavadis want better roads and infrastructure, followed by proper drainage system and drinking water facilities. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has received feedback from people and maximum 454 responses are for better roads.
The AMC had invited suggestions from people for budget proposals for the financial year 2025-26. There were 374 responses for drainage and storm water drainage and 287 suggestions for water supply. People are also interested in green spaces, with 154 suggestions received for gardens. For health and cleaning, 226 people have given their suggestions while the number is 147 for street lights.
The AMC got 2,951 mails including over 150 for better services. It plans to incorporate feedback of citizens in its annual budget. Meanwhile a review committee for the budget of current year was held. Approximately Rs 2,836 crore have been spent till now for development works. The standing committee has asked the AMC to take up more development and intrastructure projects.
