Gulmohar Golfer of the Year 2024 (GGOY), an important tournament in Ahmedabad, has entered its final phase with the 10th and penultimate round taking place over the weekend. As many as 50 golfers teed off at Gulmohar Greens – Golf and Country Club, in the latest round of GGOY, a part of the MP Financial Services-Go Golf 2024 calendar.
SP Singh was the winner in the 0-14 handicap category with 75 gross and 43 points. Raman Kumar Singh was the category runner-up with 85 gross and 38 points.
Mohammad Yusuf topped the charts in the 15-23 handicap category with 80 gross and 44 points, while Haidar Ali was the runner-up with 86 gross and 39 points.
Rajendra Kotriwal emerged on top in the 24-36 handicap category with 100 gross and 38 points, just ahead of Hiren Thakkar, who finished with 96 gross and 37 points. The three winners received 3,000 reward points for their efforts, while the runner-ups took home 1,800 points.
In the junior category, Neev Patel was the winner with 83 gross and 45 points. Tvisha Patel was the junior runner-up with 81 gross and 40 points. They received 1,500 and 1,200 reward points respectively. In all, 25 golfers from the four categories received reward points.
Among skill competitions, Mihir Sheth won the competition for the longest drive at hole #1 with a shot of 262 yards. SP Singh won the competition for the closest to pin at hole #3 by landing the ball 21 feet and three inches away from the hole. Mohammad Yusuf won the competition for the second shot closest to the pin at hole #9 by landing the ball just three feet from the hole.
