A software issue at the Subhash Bridge RTO has resulted in the driving test track being shut down for three days, from Thursday, affecting over 1,000 vehicle owners. The glitch, which occurred in the RTO’s server, forced officials to cancel driving test appointments scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
These appointments will now be rescheduled for the coming week, leaving those affected to wait longer for their tests. Typically, the Subhash Bridge RTO conducts driving tests for around 300-350 applicants every day, including two-wheeler and four-wheeler drivers. However, frequent software failures have led to significant delays and frustration for applicants.
The RTO has acknowledged the recurring issue with the software over the past few months, which has led to repeated closures of the driving test track. Many applicants have also complained about their frustration over these disruptions.
JJ Patel, RTO confirmed the situation, stating, “Due to the software glitch, the driving tests have been suspended from Thursday to Saturday. We are rescheduling all affected appointments for next week, and our technical team is working to resolve the issue.”
