Amit Shah to Inaugurate Ahmedabad Navratri Festival 2024: Check Venue, 9-Day Events, Timings

Gujarat Tourism is inviting people to experience this grand and vibrant festival. This year, the biggest Garba event is being organized in Ahmedabad, and it promises to be a celebration like no other. The event will run for nine days, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds to dance, pray, and enjoy Gujarat’s rich cultural traditions.

The inauguration ceremony will take place on October 3, 2024, at Gujarat University Ground, Near Helmet Char Rasta, Ahmedabad, starting at 8:00 p.m. The event will be inaugurated by Shri Amitbhai Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, India, with Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, making a special appearance. The theme for this year’s opening ceremony is “Jai Ma Adyashakti”, dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Inaugural Ceremony: October 3, 2024, on the theme “Jai Ma Adyashakti.” The evening will feature a multimedia cultural program and a grand Mahaarti to start the celebrations.

– Sheri Garba: From October 4 to 11, 2024, Garba performances will take place from 9:00 PM to 11:45 PM. These performances will be held on the main stage by renowned artists, and traditional dress is compulsory for all participants.

Mahaarti: Each night from October 4 to 11, 2024, a special Mahaarti will be conducted at 11:45 PM to conclude the evening’s Garba celebrations.

Other Attractions
The Navratri festival in Gujarat is more than just Garba. It offers a variety of activities and experiences for all attendees:

  • Theme Pavilion: Showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat.
  • Handicraft Bazaar: A marketplace where you can find traditional handicrafts.
    Food Stalls: Featuring delicious local cuisine.
  • Anand Nagri and Bal Nagri: Special zones for entertainment, perfect for families and children.

– Thematic Gates and Installations: Beautifully decorated gates and art installations, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the venue.

The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone. Gujarat Tourism is promoting the festival with the slogan: “Let’s celebrate, the longest-running and grandest dance festival of Gujarat!” This year’s Navratri is expected to draw large crowds, including international visitors, eager to participate in the world-famous Garba.
