Gujarat Tourism is inviting people to experience this grand and vibrant festival. This year, the biggest Garba event is being organized in Ahmedabad, and it promises to be a celebration like no other. The event will run for nine days, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds to dance, pray, and enjoy Gujarat’s rich cultural traditions.
The inauguration ceremony will take place on October 3, 2024, at Gujarat University Ground, Near Helmet Char Rasta, Ahmedabad, starting at 8:00 p.m. The event will be inaugurated by Shri Amitbhai Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, India, with Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, making a special appearance. The theme for this year’s opening ceremony is “Jai Ma Adyashakti”, dedicated to Goddess Durga.
Inaugural Ceremony: October 3, 2024, on the theme “Jai Ma Adyashakti.” The evening will feature a multimedia cultural program and a grand Mahaarti to start the celebrations.
– Sheri Garba: From October 4 to 11, 2024, Garba performances will take place from 9:00 PM to 11:45 PM. These performances will be held on the main stage by renowned artists, and traditional dress is compulsory for all participants.
Mahaarti: Each night from October 4 to 11, 2024, a special Mahaarti will be conducted at 11:45 PM to conclude the evening’s Garba celebrations.
