The quick commerce platform Zepto is expanding in the state of Gujarat with nine dark stores serving Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The company now plans to expand into other major cities, namely Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara, by the end of this year.
The company’s leadership is optimistic about growth in the state, citing its discerning consumer habits and high technological adoption. Chandan Mendiratta, Chief Brand Officer of Zepto, stated, “We are committed to sustainable business practices and are excited to cater to the diverse needs of Gujarat’s population while supporting local farmers and businesses through direct partnerships.”
Currently, Zepto has nine dark stores in Ahmedabad, including Gota, Tragad, Gandhinagar, Nikol, Vraj Vihar 3, New Ranip, Shantigram, South Bopal, and Navrangpura.
The quick commerce market in India is one of the country’s fastest-growing segments, driven by players like Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto, with a growth rate of 230% between 2021 and 2023.
