The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC)’s health teams raided and sealed two clinics in the Lambha ward.
The team first raided the Warsi Clinic near Golden Park on Asiana Flat Street, which was operated by HS Saiyed. The clinic lacked proper arrangements for disposing of the biomedical waste generated and Saiyed’s credentials for providing medical treatment were found to be unestablished. Consequently, the clinic was sealed by the AMC team.
The AMC team also raided the Manav Seva Clinic near Rajivnagar in Lambha. It was claimed that the clinic was run by Dr. Kaushal Parekh (BAMS); however, upon inspection, Dr. Parekh was not present, and patients were being treated by unauthorized personnel. As a result, this clinic was also sealed. Records found inside the clinic indicated that nine patients were treated by unauthorized individuals. The AMC will inform the Ayurvedic Council to take strict action against the said doctor.
