Raksha Bandhan 2024: Rituals
- Married and unmarried women get up early in the morning and prepare delicious food.
- They wear nice beautiful clothes and dresses.
- Some people tie Rakhi to Laddoo Gopal Ji first before commencing the rituals.
- Women observe fast on this day until they tie Rakhi.
- 5. Decorate a plate with kumkum, Akshat, sweets and Rakhi.
- Put tilak and some akshat on their brother’s forehead and tie Rakhi on their right wrist and offer sweet
- In return brother give a give gift to their sister as a token of affection or respect.
- Younger brother even take blessings from their sister by touching her feet.

Bhadra, daughter of Lord Sun and the sister of Lord Shani Dev. It is believed that when she was born, she was about to swallow the whole world and that’s why she used to create hindrances in all the auspicious activities like Hawan and Yajna and that’s why she is considered inauspicious. It is also believed that Shurpanakha tied Rakhi to Ravana during Bhadra Kaal and after that his kingdom was destroyed and even he got killed in the battle with Lord Shri Ram.
