After the Gujarat High Court strongly reprimanded local authorities regarding the increasing traffic congestion and illegal encroachments in the city, the Amdavad Municipal corporation traffic department sealed 14 private travel offices today.
Public roads around Memco Char Rasta and Rameshwar Char Rasta have been obstructed by illegally parked vehicles, hindering both pedestrian and vehicle movement. The travel office owners had constructed their offices illegally, despite receiving notices from the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC). These notices were repeatedly ignored. Today, a joint team from the North Zone Estates Department of AMC and the G Division Traffic Police of East Traffic Police took action against the travel offices. Fourteen travel offices were sealed for illegal construction and parking on public roads, which obstructed traffic.
