The 87-year-old Mount Carmel School in Navrangpura has been deemed structurally weak by the Gujarat Engineering Research Institute (GERI). Ahmedabad District Education Officer Rohit Chowdhury stated that the school management reported the building as unfit for classes.
Following GERI’s inspection, the building was found to be 89% weak. The report has been sent to the Executive Engineer, and the school has been advised to prepare for a potential relocation.
