Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air has officially announced the commencement of flight services between Ahmedabad and Da Nang.
Nguyen Thanh Hung, the airline’s Vice Chairman, stated on Wednesday, “Today, we are participating in a business forum with the Vietnam PM during his official visit to India. In this forum, we have the chance to announce our flight connecting Da Nang and Ahmedabad.”
Details regarding the flight frequency and timing between Ahmedabad and Da Nang have not yet been disclosed. However, the route is expected to begin operations in October this year.
“We have transported over a million Indian passengers, operating 46 flights weekly from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to various cities, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Cochin, and Ahmedabad. We are very excited about the vast Indian market of 1.4 billion people and aim to enhance tourism between Vietnam and India,” Hung added.
This news was shared on Wednesday, coinciding with Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s three-day state visit to India.
Da Nang, a coastal city in central Vietnam, is renowned for its beaches, rich history, and modern development. The city is nestled between the South China Sea and the Annamite Mountains. One of the city’s famous attractions is My Khe Beach, often referred to as China Beach, known for its soft white sands and crystal-clear waters.
Da Nang is also home to several historical sites that reflect its cultural heritage. The Marble Mountains, a cluster of five limestone hills, are a must-visit for their stunning caves, temples, and panoramic views of the city. Additionally, the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a short drive away, offering a glimpse into Vietnam’s history with its well-preserved architecture and markets.
The city also has modern infrastructure, including the iconic Dragon Bridge, which lights up at night and symbolizes the city’s progress. The Sun Wheel, one of the largest Ferris wheels in the world, provides breathtaking views of the city skyline.
