Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) health department today informed that on 30/07/2024, according to the Food Safety and Standard Act-2006, a total of 101 places were checked by AMC teams, and 18 samples were taken and sent to the Public Health Laboratory for investigation. Also, 31 notices have been issued for non-compliance of the rules under the Food Safety and Standard Act-2006.
During the inspection of the premises at The Brave Spot, Shop No. 1, HSG Complex, Vijay Cross Road, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, Total Polar Compounds (TPC) at the unit was found to be in excess. The outlet is sealed indefinitely in the interest of public health.
Premises at Tiger Bakery, opposite Sanjar Park Section-1 Gate, Barrel Market, Bahrampura, Ahmedabad, were found unhygienic. 1045 kg of boiled and raw potatoes, ready-made puffs, and prepared flour for making puffs, injurious to human consumption, found in unhygienic conditions during the inspection, were destroyed, and the units were sealed in the interest of public health for not complying with the rules under the Food Safety and Standards Act-2006.
Pursuant to the complaint made by the customer of Sam’s Pizza, 101, Vraj Avenue, Swastik Society, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, that the cold drink contained mites (mosquitoes), the said unit has been sealed for an indefinite period in the interest of public health.
Ruchi Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. (Hyatt Ahmedabad), located next to Ahmedabad Mall, opposite Vastrapur Lake, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, has been closed till the approval of Competent Authority by issuing a closure notice to Indian Kitchen following a complaint of pest infestation in Sambhar in a viral video.
Several stalls, including those of Manpasand Bhajipau, Purohit Bhajipau, Manmohan Panipuri, Manmohan Bhajipau, and Manmohan Bhajipau & Chinese, at Kankaria Lakefront, near the Amusement Park in Kankaria, Ahmedabad, were found to have unhygienic conditions during inspection. A closure notice has been served until approval from the competent authority is received.
