Rohit Sharma returns as the ODI captain, with Shubman Gill appointed as his deputy for the first time. The squad sees the inclusion of Riyan Parag and Harshit Rana, marking their maiden call-ups to the ODI team.
Riyan Parag’s selection comes as a notable change, replacing Sanju Samson despite Samson’s recent century against South Africa in December 2023. The upcoming tour also signifies Gautam Gambhir’s debut as a coach for the Indian team, aiming to start his tenure on a positive note with the away series.
