A speeding Brezza car hit another car that was parked on the side on a flyover near Palladium Mall on SG Highway on Saturday night killing two and injuring six. Police said Sonu Dhaida, 23, an employee of a private firm had gone to Bhatt Village for dinner on Saturday night in his I-20 car. Sonu was accompanied by his friends Alpesh Gangdekar, 30, Mayur Aduja, 28, and Kamal Advani, 26.
On their return at around 2.30 AM, they stopped the car on the flyover near Palladium Mall as Kamal wanted to attend nature’s call.
Kamal and Alpesh got out of the car and were standing on the flyover when a speeding Brezza car came from behind and rammed into the car and the two young men. The impact was so strong that both Kamal and Alpesh were flung into the air and fell on the road, sustaining serious injuries. Sonu and Mayur, who were in the car, also suffered injuries.
All four were rushed to the hospital where Alpesh and Kamal succumbed to their injuries while Sonu and Mayur were reported to be critical. Prabhu Devasi, 42, Rekha Devasi, 32, Arjun Devasi, 37, and Laduben Devasi who were in
the Brezza car also sustained
Police said a probe has revealed that Prabhu was driving the Breeza car. He is a resident of Moriya village in Changodar and owns a utility shop. Prabhu and his family had gone to Rajasthan to meet his parents and were on their way back home.
