The Ahmedabad police will escort passengers to Kalupur Railway Station during Rath Yatra on Sunday. Roads leading to the Rath Yatra route will be closed, and passengers will be transported by police vans upon showing their train tickets.
The police have arranged vans at Sarangpur and Dariyapur to drop passengers at Kalupur station. Passengers will have to show their train tickets to use this service.
The police have also arranged free parking for devotees coming by their own vehicles. Parking lots available include Saraspur Shardaben Hospital, Saraspur Ravishankar Maharaj, AUDA Makan, Vikram Mill Compound Parking, and Saraspur Bombay Housing.
Roads from Sarangpur Circle to Kalupur Circle, Astodia Circle to Raikhad, and other routes on the Rath Yatra path will be closed. Passengers heading to the Gita Mandir bus stand can use the Riverfront road and the Jamalpur Bridge.
Every vehicle used on the Rath Yatra route will have a GPS tracker monitored by the police control room to ensure quick response to accidents or vehicle faults.
