Residents of the IIM-Panjrapole road area have lodged a complaint against the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) after contractors cut down two full-grown trees on Saturday night. Witnesses reported that the tree felling resulted in the deaths of several birds and animals that were the inhabitants of these age-old trees.
The AMC plans to cut down nearly 100 more such trees in the area to build a flyover. However, local residents are protesting the decision, aiming to protect the natural ecosystems.
