With the onset of the southwest monsoon in Kerala, which has brought heavy rainfall, strong winds are expected to prevail along the coastal area of Gujarat. As a precaution, the district administration has closed Tithal Beach to visitors. The local police have been deployed to enforce the closure.
The weather department has issued a warning of surface winds ranging from 60-75 kmph. Consequently, tourists are advised to avoid visiting the beach due to potential rough sea conditions.
Fishermen have also been advised against venturing into the sea. Fishermen from Umergam, Nani Danti, Moti Danti, and Kosamba have been specifically warned to stay ashore.
Similarly, the police have been deployed at Dandi Beach and Umbharat Beach of Navsari as the local administration has closed these beaches to visitors. Strong currents are being observed in the sea off the coast of south Gujarat, and people have been advised not to go to the beach.
