In a major crackdown, sealed 71 units in Ahmedabad for the violation of fire safety norms or Building Usage (BU) permits.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed 71 units, which include hospitals, gaming zones, commercial complexes, coaching classes, party plots, and hotels. These units were sealed as they were found in violation of fire safety norms. Some of the units were lacking a Fire No Objection Certificate (NOC), while others were lacking Building Usage (BU) permission. Some of the sealed buildings were not functioning as per the approved BU.
Out of the 71 sealed units, 36 are hospitals, 12 are gaming zones, 12 are coaching classes, and 4 are party plots, along with some other units.
