The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to resurface 3.5 km of road within 24 hours in three areas of the city. The project will see the use of 7,000-tonne material and a comprehensive deployment of machinery and manpower. Earlier, the AMC had set a record by creating the Tarapur-Bagodara Highway using 5000 tonnes of raw material in a day.
The work of providing basic facilities is being carried out under the TP scheme in the newly incorporated area of the AMC.
The AMC has decided to speed up the road resurfacing under which 1 to 1.5 km stretch of roads will be resurfaced within 24 hours on an experimental basis. This will be carried out across three different areas in the North West, South West, and South Zones.
Detailing the specific areas marked for resurfacing, Dani said the identified stretches include a 1200-metre road from Aryaman Bungalows to Hebatpur village in the North-West zone, a 1000-metre stretch from Arrows Foot to Florence At-9 in the South-West zone, and a 1600-metre road from Narol turning to Sadani Dhabi in the South zone.
