Union Railway Minister Ashiwini Vaishnav while speaking at Rajkot today said the Rajkot – Ahmedabad section of Western Railways will have fencing alongside the railway track and the track will be upgraded.
The trains will run at the speed of 130 kmph and in near future on this route, as a result of which, Rajkot – Ahmedabad rail journey shall be possible in just 2.00 to 2.15 hours only, he said.
Ashwini said Wankaner, Paddhari, Rajkot railway stations will be revamped. He also said that Rajkot – Vadodara journey shall be possible by omitting Ahmedabad, as the trains on Rajkot – Vadodara route shall be operated through Sanand bypass route also
