There has been an alarming surge in fatal accidents across the state. One such accident took place near Pirana Circle in Ahmedabad this morning, where a biker has been reported as killed on the spot.
As per sources, the accident took place when a dumper, incoming towards the circle at a high speed, rammed into a bike. The biker was pronounced dead on the spot.
A crowd gathered at the scene, leading to a heavy traffic congestion as well.
The police are currently investigating the case.
A similar unfortunate accident on the Tarsali-Jambuva bypass of Vadodara on Mar 3 took five lives of the same family when an Alto car rammed into a park trailer on the side of the road near the Girnar Hotel.
In another accident that took place on the Kheda-Dholka highway, five passengers travelling in a sports utility vehicle (SUV) were killed and two were injured during the wee hours of Feb 27.
Further details in this accident revealed that a Bolero car had collided with a parked dumper near Pullen Circle on the highway.
All the deceased in this accident were from Madhya Pradesh.
