The Amdavad Municipal Corporation has issued notices to 180 shops in Palladium Mall in Thaltej area for non-payment of professional taxes. Additionally, the civic body’s tax department has issued notices to 306 units in various areas, aiming to collect Rs. 8.28 lakh as professional tax.
The municipality has formed four teams per zone, inspecting units, including colleges, malls, restaurants, and hospitals. Notices have been issued to collect outstanding professional taxes. In cases of non-compliance with rules, the municipality has sealed 12 construction sites. These include Arise Atlantis in Jagatpur, Magnate Impression near Bhadaj Circle, Siddharth Icon next to Navrang School, and Indraprasth Shivanta on SP Ring Road.
