Taxpayers under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system can now make their tax payments using credit cards and debit cards. The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) recently implemented this payment option, adding to the existing online methods like net banking, Immediate Payment Services (IMPS), and Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
Initially launched in 10 States/Union Territories on January 5, 2024, this credit and debit card payment facility will eventually be expanded to cover all states. Currently, the service is applicable for all Credit/Debit cards supported by Rupay, MasterCard, Visa, and Diners through Kotak Mahindra Bank.
