An organisation from Ahmedabad has prepared a mega drum for the temple.
The special drum, prepared by All India Dagbar Samaj, weighs 450 kilograms, and it will be taken to Ayodhya before the consecration ceremony on January 22, 2024. The organisation has also made a power steering chariot weighing 700 kg for carrying the drum.
Iron plates were used in the drum being built for the Ram temple so that the drum, could have a lifespan of thousands of years. The majority of the work has been completed, and the process of engraving copper plates on the outer part of the drum is underway. A layer of gold and silver will also be applied to it, They took two and a half months to complete the drum. The chariot to carry the drum will be ready by next week.
The drum has already become a point of attraction in Ahmedabad’s Dryapur, where numerous people are thronging to see it before being sent to Ayodhya on January 8.
The Dagbar Samaj is also planning to organise special events to welcome the drum at different locations on its journey to Ayodhya. As per the current plan, the drum will be handed over to Ram Mandir on January 15
