The Gujarat high court issued notice to the state government after it resisted a person’s request to permit him to establish a primary health centre (PHC) in his village, Hadiyat, in Vallabhipur taluka of Bhavnagar district.
Sanjay Kumar Kubavat (35), claims holding different certificates in community health care and essential drugs for primary health care, which have been issued by the ministry of health and family welfare conducting training programmes. He also holds an MD in yoga and a diploma in naturopathy and yogic science. he sought PHC in the village.
As he did not receive any response, he approached the Gujarat high court seeking directions to the authorities concerned to allow him to establish and run a PHC so that he could provide primary treatment to the residents of the area.
