IITRAM has announced its 5th Convocation Ceremony on September 22, 2023 (Friday) from 11:00 am onwards. This event will take place in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium Hall, Vastral, Ahmedabad. A total of 353 graduates will be conferred degrees in this convocation. Of this, 288 B.Tech, 50 M.Tech and 15 doctoral graduates will receive degrees. Class of 2022 and 2023 graduates from PAN-India will be attending this event. 11 Gold and 10 Silver medals will be awarded to the meritorious students in undergraduate and postgraduate levels in all branches of Engineering. The formal conferral of degrees symbolizes the graduates’ transition to alumni.
IITRAM, known for its dedication to innovation and education, celebrates its graduates’ accomplishments. The Chief Guest of this convocation ceremony will be Professor Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay, Padma Shri Awardee who will inspire our graduates with their wisdom. She is the Director of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata. She is the recipient of several awards including the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Engineering Science, TWAS Prize, Infosys Prize, JC Bose Fellowship, Swarnajayanti fellowship, Humboldt Fellowship from Germany, etc. She is a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE), Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) and West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology. She also serves as a member of the Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council of the Prime Minister of India (PM-STIAC). In 2022, she received the Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award of the Government of India.
