The state government has assigned teachers from government and grant-in-aid schools duties as booth-level officers (BLO), to update the voter list. Teachers need to finish this work by August 21.
Educators are expressing concerns about the negative impact this will have on teaching during this period. teachers will also have to visit voters’ homes and update their details while also fulfilling regular school duties. On their failure to complete the voter list task, the school principal will be held responsible.
