The 1.79 crore Ayushman Card cardholders in Gujarat will now receive a health insurance cover of Rs. 10 lakh, which was Rs. 5 lakh earlier.
Health Minister of Gujarat Rishikesh Patel today formally launched the Ayushman Card with an increased insurance assistance of Rs.10 lakh.
Minister Rishikesh Patel stated that complex surgeries such as heart, kidney, liver, uterus, and other procedures, including cochlear implants, will now be easily accessible under this card with health insurance assistance of Rs.10 lakhs.
Currently, a total of 2,848 hospitals provide treatment under the Ayushman Card. These hospitals include 2,027 government hospitals, 803 private hospitals, and 18 central government-run hospitals in the state. A total of 2,471 different health-related procedures and treatments can be availed of under the Ayushman card in these empaneled hospitals.
