The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains for the next two days in Ahmedabad. IMD issued yellow alert in City.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department in the state, there was light to heavy rain in many districts. while the city has been receiving light rain since last night in several areas, some areas received torrential rain early this morning due to which many areas were flooded.
The highest rainfall was 4.2 inches in Jamnagar taluka, 4 inches in Talala of Gir Somnath, 3.8 inches in Bijapur of Mehsana, 3.2 inches in Patan-Veraval of Gir Somnath. along with this, the roads were waterlogged in Bhiloda of Aravalli due to continuous heavy rain for 24 hours. Bhiloda, Leelcha received rain from early morning today and farmers were happy due to good rain. Apart from this, 2.6 inches of rain has been recorded in Harij of Patan, 2.4 inches in Vansda of Navsari, Himmatnagar of Sabarkantha and 2.3 inches in Mandvi of Surat. apart from this, rain has been reported in parts of Junagadh and Mehsana, Patan, Sabarkantha in North Gujarat and Navsari, Surat in South Gujarat.
