Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually flag off the Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) – Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express on July 8th from Gorakhpur.
The regular operations of the Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) – Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express will commence on July 9th. The train will run six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.
The train number 12462, will depart from Sabarmati (Ahmedabad) at 4:45 pm and arrive in Jodhpur at 10:55 pm on the same day, taking a total travel time of 6 hours and 10 minutes. Similarly, the return journey with train number 12461 will depart from Jodhpur at 5:55 am and reach Sabarmati at 12:05 pm.
During the journey, the train will make stops at Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, and Pali Marwar stations in both directions.

However, The new Vande Bharat Express will save 1 hour and 30 minutes in travel time as it takes only 6 hours and 10 minutes.
Additionally, this semi-high-speed train will hold the title of being the fastest train between Ahmedabad and Palanpur, with a travel time of 1 hour and 53 minutes. Previously, the New Delhi Rajdhani Express held that distinction with a travel time of 2 hours and 10 minutes between these two locations.
Furthermore, this train will also be the fastest train between Ahmedabad and Abu Road, taking only 2 hours and 20 minutes to reach Abu Road from Sabarmati. Previously, the New Delhi Rajdhani Express took 2 hours and 50 minutes for the same route.
