Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani-starrer SatyaPrem Ki Katha enjoyed a decent opening at the domestic box office, minting approximately Rs 9.75 crore nett on Thursday.
The film’s opening falls short in comparison with Kartik and Kiara’s 2022 blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which collected an opening-day collection of Rs 14.11 crore nett.
Nonetheless, SatyaPrem Ki Katha performed better than Kartik’s previous theatrical release – Shehzada – which opened at Rs 6 crore nett and ultimately bombed at the box office.
Given the absence of major releases in the near future, the Sameer Vidwans-helmed romantic drama is expected to perform well at the box office. A Box Office India report states that Satyaprem Ki Katha is expected to rake in Rs 40 crore nett during its opening weekend. The film’s lifetime box office collection is projected to reach around Rs 80-100 crore nett.
The movie has received positive reviews and good word-of-mouth, which will undoubtedly contribute to its collection, the report also suggests.
Apart from Kartik and Kiara, Satyaprem Ki Katha also stars Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant and Shikha Talsania in key roles.
