Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel relaunched the “Aao Gaon Chale” project initiated by the the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Gujarat.
The objective of this program, implemented by the IMA, is to offer affordable healthcare services at the village level. A total of 90 villages in the state will be adopted by doctors affiliated with the IMA, who will provide medical facilities to these communities.
CM emphasized that advanced medical services are now accessible to the people even in rural areas. He mentioned the establishment of new medical colleges in the state, which has resulted in an annual availability of nearly 7,000 doctors.
Health Minister Rushikesh Patel said “the continuous expansion of primary health centers, community health centers, sub-district and district hospitals, and civil hospitals by the state health department. He further stated that currently, 6,350 doctors receive training in Gujarat each year, and this number will soon reach 7,000 with the addition of new medical colleges that have been sanctioned and are currently under construction”.
