A driver of a BRTS bus allegedly attacked a 58-year-old man with a rod after he asked him to drive carefully. The victim, Shahid Shaikh filed a complaint at Kalupur police station against the unidentified driver. According to the FIR, Shaikh had parked his autorickshaw on the premises of Ahmedabad railway station in Kalupur to go to a urinal across the road.
When he was returning to the railway station, a BRTS bus driver applied a sudden brake, stopping the vehicle in front of Shaikh.
He allegedly began abusing Shaikh after which Shaikh asked him to drive carefully. the driver pulled out a rod from near the seat and allegedly hit Shaikh on the face.
Shaikh began bleeding severely and was taken to Civil hospital in Asarwa. He later approached Kalupur police and filed a complaint of causing grievous hurt against the unknown BRTS bus driver.
