A video of Students cleaning Vivekananda School of Municipal Corporation in Ahmedabad has gone viral. On the very first day of school, students have seen brooms in their hands instead of books.
After cleaning the ground, the students were sitting there on mats.
After this video went viral, the Education Department of AMC has issued a show cause notice to the principal of the school. A new academic session has started in Gujarat from Monday. After 35 days of vacation in government, private and granted schools, have started again. It was expected that the cleaning would be done before the resumption of school, but it does not seem to have happened.
The state government spends crores on celebrating school entrance festivals and girls’ education festivals. The municipal school board gets a budget of crores of rupees and out of it smart schools are prepared. But despite having such a budget, questions are being discussed among the parents as to why there is a lack of cleaning staff in the school.
