On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate 3265 affordable housing units in Surat via video conference while speaking with the beneficiaries virtually. Prime Minister will be on his visit to Ahmedabad.
The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) built 3265 affordable housing units, including 450 in Vesu-Rundh, 420 in Palanpor-Bhesan, 1231 and 832 in Pal, and 332 in Bhestan. PM Modi will essentially dedicate these homes. He will speak with the beneficiaries of the Pal Suman Mudra and Suman Sneh housing schemes during the event.
SMC has allotted 11,012 affordable housing units out of a total of 11,017 units, including 2,296 units under the EWS type scheme and 8,721 units under the LIG type scheme. Moreover, SMC has also allotted 8,101 affordable housing units out of 8,110 units, which includes 3,118 units of EWS 1 type and 4,992 units of EWS 2 type, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Out of a total of 8,297 affordable housing units in phase 3, 4, and 5, a total of 7,314 units are already allocated.
