For schoolchildren in grades VI through XI, Gujarat Science City working under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, is planning a number of summer vacation activities to help them beat the heat.
Gujarat Science City is organizing various innovative activities and programmes for a varied group of school students from May 2 to 27 during this summer vacation at Gujarat Science City, Science city road off SG Highway from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The programme is divided into different categories, including workshops, popular science lectures, hands-on demonstrations, screenings of scientific films, and sky observations.
It would be a wonderful time for exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic (STEM) in diverse classes that take advantage of the Science City’s unique, state-of-the-art resources.
More than 350 different workshops are offered, including block coding, hardware coding, 3D printing, electronics circuit making, wonder of chemistry, fun with physics, telescope making, mineral identification, the Internet of Things (IoT) for home automation, the mystery of the butterfly, plant tissue culture, creative science writing, model rocketry, and learning through origami, among others. The Hands-On Science Camp is held in various pavilions for science learning and innovation, which contain state-of-the-art labs and classrooms. All of these events culminate with a movie screening and interactive discussion and involve some physical activity and open spaces.
