According to State Minister of Home Harsh Sanghavi, the state government has started a project to make S G Highway dust-free. By removing the dark spots from SG Highway, he claimed that the number of accidents would be reduced by 60%.
Rent from commercial space to maintain 250 police stations:
Sanghavi also announced setting up of commercial facilities in 250 police stations across Gujarat. The rent recovered from these facilities will be used in maintenance of these police stations. A water conservation project will soon be launched at police stations and bus stations across Gujarat, Sanghavi said.
Speaking at a function of 43rd Foundation Day of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Sanghavi said developers and builders have built iconic buildings that beautify the city. He exhorted them to extend all support to the government to make Ahmedabad one of the most beautiful cities of India. He appealed them to support government in making SG Highway dust-free.
CREDAI organised a blood donation camp and health check up camp for its members. As many as 300 bottles of blood were collected on the occasion. Shekhar Patel, national president-elect of CREDAI, was felicitated by Sanghvi.
