Abhishek Jain, co-founder of Oho Gujarati and recipient of awards, is prepared to carry on the tradition he started by revitalising Gujarati cinema over ten years ago and distributing content via the on-demand platform Oho Gujarati.
He has established new-age Gujarati film trends and showed how to produce unconventional and modern cinema with a creative mission, clarity, and fire. Kevi Rite Jaish, directed by Abhishek Jain in 2012, is the first Gujarati movie to tell the tale of the obsession Gujarati Patels have with immigrating to the US.
Abhishek has won the Best OTT platform of the year – regional award for Oho Gujarati, the first platform for Gujarati shows and films, ten years later and with a few Gujarati and Hindi films to his name. In addition to this, three other awards from the Exchange4media awards, 4th edition, which were presented in Mumbai last night, include Azaad for best Gujarati webseries, Hemant Kher for best regional performance across all languages, and Moho Maya Machine for best regional webshow trailer.
