A new decision made by the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Ltd will result in a 35 percent increase in the number of trips made by Metro trains in Ahmedabad.
In accordance with a note issued by GMRC today, Ahmedabad metro trains are currently run at a frequency of 15 minutes during peak hours and 18 minutes during off-peak hours, from 7 am to 10 pm.
The GMRC has now decided to run metro trains continuously at a frequency of 12 minutes from 7 am to 10 pm, resulting in a 35% increase in the number of trips.
