As the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) prepares to hold recruitment exams for the post of Junior Clerk across the state on April 9, the board announced Wednesday helpline numbers for candidates to call if they facing any irregularities.
The exam will be held at over 3,000 locations throughout the state, and 9.53 lakh candidates have registered for it. The Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2023, which was recently passed in the Gujarat Assembly, went into effect on March 3, according to GPSSB. According to the release, the Act strengthens the hands of authorities conducting public examinations, preventing elements who intend to commit irregularities in such examinations. The junior clerk examination was cancelled on January 29 due to a leaked question paper.
