Gujarat state police and government have taken an excellent initiative. It’s great that safety is prioritised. This initiative will ensure at least safety, as well as less worry in the future.
“Will inspire confidence,” said Vignesh R Yadav, a teacher. Recent incidents of cab drivers behaving inappropriately, either verbally or physically, with female passengers have raised concerns about women’s safety. The inclusion of a QR code and an SOS button in mobile apps will aid in ensuring a reasonable level of safety and security for women, as only verified drivers will be available in these vehicles. Furthermore, companies should provide special training to drivers in order for them to be helpful, trustworthy, and courteous to commuters, particularly women, during late-night journeys.”
“A’bad has always been safe,” Prof J K Nathani, Academician, added. Ahmedabad has been known for its safety for decades due to the presence of good people and vigilant police administration. As a result, I believe there is no need for such an initiative by simply introducing new names such as ‘QR,’ which may be misleading and misused in the name of safety.”
“Technology’s safety net,” said I H Kadri, an entrepreneur. The use of technology contributes to the creation of a safety net and acts as a deterrent to rogue elements. This provides citizens taking such rides with a sense of security and a more secure mindset. With surveillance and real-time control in place, there is a better chance of apprehending criminals before they flee.
“Women’s safety is paramount,” says professional Gopa Nair. Women’s safety must be prioritised. Women must now step outside of their comfort zone to help their families and achieve their goals. Giving QR codes to vehicles is extremely safe for female travelers who travel at odd hours.”
“Leap forward in women’s safety,” retired teacher Harvinderkaur Ahluwalia said.
The use of QR codes in public transportation is a significant step forward in the safety of women. When used in this manner, technology becomes a boon to humanity. Concern for women’s safety is essential in light of the shockingly rising number of cases of molestation everywhere.”
Jayesh Parmar, Language coach further added ” Will curb misbehavior. Ahmedabad police made a wise decision. It will reduce inappropriate behavior towards women in public transportation vehicles such as autos or cabs. This app or system will improve the safety of female passengers while traveling. Another useful feature is the SOS button, which alerts police officers on duty.”
