What defenses Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway will provide against China and Pakistan

What defenses Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway will provide against China and Pakistan

India may be protected from China and Pakistan thanks to the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently posted some breathtaking photographs of the 1,350-kilometer motorway, which is anticipated to open in January and will reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to 12 hours.

The highway will also play a significant role in the nation’s strategic security. A minimum of 55 locations will be constructed so that fighter jets may land and take off, and these will be used in an emergency.

Between Sohna’s Alipur and Mumbai, all of these sections are being constructed. The 269-kilometre motorway has 10 sections between Alipur and Mumbai. Fighters and other aircraft can take off and land here. The area is ready to be utilised, and it might be inaugurated in January.

According to reports, the road may be used in the event of a conflict with Pakistan or China. There would be a 120 km/h maximum speed limit on this motorway.

The road would also reduce the current five-hour travel time between Gurgaon and Hausa to 2.5 hours. The distance between Delhi and Jaipur would be travelled in half the time.

The 1971 war:

Pakistani fighter jets had approached Agra in 1971 but were forced to retreat by IAF fighters. The nation should create emergency roadways where the armed services may fly fighter jets in Agra, Gurugram, Gwalior, and Delhi since it was flat. Even if the IAF has bases in advantageous locations, this would aid in the struggle against the enemy even more.

The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is appropriate for this duty because the runway of a fighter plane should be fully level and straight. The runway should be three kilometres long and 20 metres wide. Portable lighting systems are also required. A number of these portions are planned for the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, which will benefit the military forces on both the eastern and western fronts.
