The effect of the Mandous Cyclone which had led to a sudden rise in minimum temperatures in Gujarat region since December 12 onwards and so the minimum temperature in city and region have begun to decrease in last two days.
The cyclone had led to sudden increase in minimum temperature due to moisture wind incursion from Bay of Bengal Sea.
Ahmedabad recorded a minimum of 20.5 degrees on Wednesday which is fall of 0.5 degrees.
Surat was the warmest at 24.8 degrees while Naliya was the coldest at 13.6 degrees.
The minimum temperatures recorded in other cities in region in decreasing order are as follows –Amreli (21.4 degrees), Rajkot (20.0 degrees), Gandhinagar (19.7 degrees), Kandla (19.5 degrees), Bhuj (16.8 degrees), Deesa and Patan (16.4 degrees).
