Britain Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned on Thursday, 45 days after she came to power.
Liz’s economic programme had sent shockwaves through the market and was being criticised. Her economic policies also divided the Conservative Party. Liz defeated Indian-origin Rishi Sunak six weeks back to become the Prime Minister.
She told the media, ‘Given the situation, I cannot carry out the mandate for which I was elected….. I will remain as Prime Minister until a successor is selected’.
